Eilean Donan Castle, Scotland

Eilean Donan Castle sits on a small island where three lochs meet, Loch Alsh, Long Long and Loch Duich. It’s often seen in photographs and used in film and television.

There was originally supposed to be a church on the small island, but there are no remains and the castle which was rebuilt during the twentieth century, having been destroyed by government ships during the Jacobite rebellions, now takes up most of island.
